A Winter Prayer.

I pray for strength in the fading light of the Sun.

I pray for warmth,

I pray for shelter.

May I be prepared for darkness as it comes.

I pray for health,

and in the unknown, splendor.

May the coming winter conspire to make me whole.

Whether by wholesome family gatherings,

or by way of trials for my soul.

Let me be as a field lying fallow,

a crop growing stronger in the cold.

May I be strong in the face of whatever may come.

Whatever the season brings, so be it.
