Let the water of the river flow in me.
Let the water be sweet and pure.
Let it fill me to brimming and relieve me.
Let it quench, let it drown, let it cure.
I wish the current to move me.
I do not care to know where.
Wherever the Earth Mother leaves me,
I will put down roots, or take to the air.
When I’m done I’ll return to the river.
Whether my life was grand or awful, big or small.
I have faith that the current will again deliver me,
and I will be cleansed after it all.
